Developer and Publisher Armative Studios’ free-to-play tank MMO Steel Aces takes a different approach from other games. Rather than progress being dependent on spending, this game focuses on the players’ skill. Featuring tanks from various eras, ranging from World War I to modern-times, Steel Aces allows players to pilot hundred of vehicles based on real-world ones from all over the world. Steel Aces focuses solely on tanks. The game offers no player-controlled artillery or aerial gameplay. This means players will need to be very aware of their surroundings since they don’t know when they’ll run into another tank ready to take them out. Rather than simply trying to deplete a health bar, players will have to learn how to take advantage of their opponents’ weak spots. This means taking the time to develop knowledge and skills in order to climb the ranks in the game. As for monetization, Steel Aces features cosmetics and collections. Players can also purchase items to help accelerate progression.
